The Idaho Lottery saw its start on July 19th, 1989. The non-multi-state jackpot game is a great contributor to the community, through its Idaho Lottery Dividend Fund. Total revenue from fiscal years 1990 – 2011 has been more than $2.1 million, with the Idaho Lottery fund benefitting Idaho Public Schools (50% of dividends gets contributed toward this) as well as the Permanent Building Fund. For every dollar received from sales, $0.25 goes toward the annual dividend.
